Johana
Johana is a woman of the Earth who understands and honours the interconnectedness of all life, the mysterious and intricate threads that weaves us all together. With her strong hands and big open heart, Johana is the founder and visionary of Neesa Wellness, and talented practitioner of Ayurvedic Scalp Massage.
As someone who embodies and understands true beauty, Johana dives deeply into the heart of all things and finds so much joy in the art of creating space, and holding space for people to come home to themselves. Her passion for wellness has led her down a winding path where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2010, a 200hr yoga teacher certification with School Yoga Institute in 2013, and yoga mentorship with Kula Collective in 2016. She is currently enrolled in a Nature-Based Ritual and Ceremony program with Corinna Stevenson who is a Métis educator, award-winning author and founder of Ravenwood Healing Retreats.

As a teen, Johana took bookings for her mother's aesthetics business, where her curiosity for holistic wellness was born. She worked as a spa attendant and yoga instructor at the Kingfisher Resort in 2017 and continued on to take courses in Swedish Massage and Ayurvedic Scalp Massage so she could offer healing services on a larger scale. Rooting herself on Vancouver Island, she has spent her recent years diving into the sweet slow rhythms of the land, building community, and honing her purpose. Neesa Wellness was born from a place of self-love, deep devotional connection to the Earth, and choosing to be in service to the collective.

Lou
Lou found herself on the holistic healing path through her own health quest. She had to take charge of her own health which led her to discover Vega Testing, a tool to discover and understand imbalances in the body. With a passion for learning about the human body and holistic health, Lou decided to embark on the journey to become a practitioner and enrolled into the Holistic Nutrition Program with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition as well as Herbalism and Female Anatomy, Hormones and Cycle-Tracking.
She decided to add bodywork to her practice so she can fully support her patients. When Lou found Traditional Thai Massage, she couldn't ignore the calling. Everything fell into place to train with Samadhi Thai Massage School in Nelson and she became a Thai Massage Practitioner who is currently adding reflexology into her healing modalities.

When Lou is not with patients or refining her knowledge, she is out in the mountains, in the forest, rock climbing, ice climbing, back country skiing or trail running, gardening and growing food or connecting with friends and her community.
Her intention is to empower you to take control of your health and find trust in your body's capability of healing.
She is here for you; listening and understanding your health situation as well as supporting you through your journey is her sincere purpose.

Katy
Katy began her healing journey at the age of 19. A natural traveler, she found herself drawn to Asia, where she completed a Traditional Thai Massage training. There, she learned the fundamentals of the Energetic Meridian Pathway System, joint mobilization, and over 200 Traditional Thai Massage techniques.
In 2013, her passion for holistic health deepened when she completed a 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Pyramid Yoga Center. This training, based on the Chakra system, enhanced her understanding of the mind-body connection, breathwork, sound, posture, balance, and whole-body wellness.
By 2017, Katy’s curiosity led her to pursue a formal education in massage therapy through the Registered Massage Therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage. Here, she gained comprehensive knowledge of the physical body—inside and out.
Katy's treatments are a unique blend of her experiences, bridging the wisdom of Eastern therapies with the practicalities of Western medicine. She takes a holistic approach, viewing each person as a whole and integrating techniques from both traditions to achieve optimal wellness.
From the Ground Up
Katy’s process begins with a full conversation about your health history, previous injuries, surgeries, and current movement patterns. Starting with the feet, she assesses posture and alignment from head to toe, followed by movement screens to evaluate your body's current mobility, strength, and proprioception.
Her goal is simple: to gather enough information to track your progress and notice the changes as they happen.
Movement is Life
In partnership with you, Katy will help you discover the right movement or mindfulness practice. Whether it’s incorporating squats into your daily routine or creating a personalized yoga or mindful movement plan, her end goal is to keep you doing what you love for as long as possible.
